I guess Gil is not letting this probation riff go to his head. Second in practice! Good for him!

What is "Carb" day anyway? And why are all of the qualifying and practice sessions spread out so much? Couldn't they just have a normal 3 day race weekend?

Just some things I have always wondered.

Back in the old days of Indy, this was the day where final carburettor jetting adjustments were made and settings were layed out on what might happen should the weather change. Then the cars would impounded until race day.
