[VASC19R19R20] Century Batteries Ipswich SuperSprint Queensland Raceway Jul 26 - 28
The Supercars Championship is going to their last part of the northern trip with the Ipswich SuperSprint at Queensland Raceway. Being the home track of both DJR Team Penske and Triple Eight, it'll be hard to pass up seeing those guys being at the top of the field. Also Tickford will be worth watching with local lad Chaz Mostert is always a great goer at this track.
Also yours truly will be hanging around as an ordinary trackside fan, hanging out with mates. So anyone wanna catch up will be good as we can get to match a face to a username. |

Does seem a chink in Scotty's armor if any, is pulling it together when he's not all the way out front.

Scott is a great qualifier second to none. And a very good driver, but he's not a great racer. Ten drivers at least would also look like superstars driving Scotty's car this year.

He'll get himself sorted, he's a class act and so is his team. |

I beg to differ, he has won in every car he has ever driven, and spanked every teammate, some of them very good drivers.

Scott is a very good driver. I think the word great is well over used. He's been owned by SVG more times than not in his career. Shane is also a very good driver, and I'd say a better racer. Shane can fly to the other side of the world and jump in a factory car with factory team drivers and out qualifier both of them plus anchor the race on the world stage. Scott has been very limited in his racing outside of Supercar throughout his career. all of a sudden he's now talking NASCAR, Indy 500... bit like he's gone into a candy shop with his new uncle Rodger hoping he may get a lolly, Rodger pulls out a $100 bill and Scotty now wants to have all the lollies in the shop.

I think both Shell Mustangs looked a bit ordinary in the race today, the Tickford cars were faster, especially at the end of the race.

It's like Winton, people should just stop testing there.
As for parity, all Mustangs in the top 10. If it were Holdens people would be baying for Blood. Also Scotty Mac breaks the lap record in practice. If he gets away clean and doesn't lose 5sec in a pit stop he will run away with it again. |

And Manufacters championship awarded already.
Sadly the championship so desperate to have Ford back and Penske in they allowed them to steamroll everybody and I am not sure how it gets better. |

$13k In Fines For Mr McLaughlin
Back in the old days, a Supercar operative may or may not have grabbed the offending posters before they were shown in the world, to help the team avoid just such a fine... |
