Looks like a good fun track! However, the first chicane is certainly not necessary.

Would be good on gently rolling terrain. No need for major elevation changes.

I'd get rid of the 2nd chicane too, and extend the run off to make up for it...some tarmac and then a gravel trap

Good track! I has a bit of a classic circuit to it. I like it!

Really cool Paul

I agree with AF, the first chicane isn't necessary however...

Agree with Lustig, it has a classic feel. I agree with almost everyone else however, that the first chicane isn't at all necessary. The other one could be remodelled in order to be a bit more exciting too.

Thanks Guys!

As for the chicanes, maybe your right - anybody want to have a go at remodelling one of them, in order to make it work better?

To be honest, I prefer the non-chicane versions, but some series would prefer the chicanes i'd imagine.

Thanks for the comments

Assuming the track runs clockwise, I've made some changes to the chicanes. I tried to get rid of that horrible stop-start feel they had, just like the new first chicane at Monza. I tried to make them more flowing but still have them slow the cars down enough.

The first chicane, in the bottom left corner:

The second chicane, in the top left corner:

I really like what you did with the second chicane...

Not so sure about the first, I think it'd be better without one

I concur. Without a chicane, this corner is very, very quick and challenging.

By the way, Paul, what's this 'Warnings 3' and 'Warnings leven 2' you have on the left?

That would be the official warning system. You shouldn't be able to see it, but I believe it has now been fixed.

Back on topic, I say that you should be rid of both chicanes Maybe an alternative hairpin at turn 11 (fast right sweep immediately after second chicane) would be better.

I'm starting to get confused. I thought this track was clockwise, but Pirenzo's remarks about a hairpin at turn 11 make me doubt if it is.

Love the absense of the first chicane, but loathe the second. Breaks up the flow of the track just like the original chicane there. Perhaps there shouldn't be a chicane at all. Just increase run-off between the two grandstands, there.

personally, i think that the original track would be great wihtout any of the chicanes at all. It would keep the race flowing right through to the very end.

I like the version without either of the chicanes.

And I agree with everyone who thinks it definitely has a classic feel to it.

Get a load of this! You won't believe how much of an identical twin that looks to a track I created a while ago. Seriously, I was amazed at how alike they are. I have to do a proper detailed copy of it then post it to show you what I mean. Can I post it here to show the rest of the guys?

The track layout is brilliant!
I'd like to see a little bit more room on certain turns, of course.

I don't really see the need for chicanes, unless you really want them.Me personally ,I like them, they're fun and they have a purpose.

Sorry it took soooo long to post it sham, technical difficulties. I'm also sorry to bump the thread, but he/she gave me permission to post a look-alike track of mine here. Enjoy.
