Which GPL car's are your favourite?
I've been wondering about this for a while, so which GPL car's are your favourite in terms of handling?
The poll is multiple choice so you can choose more than one. I voted for the Cooper and the Ferrari. Last edited by ASCII Man; 25 Feb 2003 at 17:26. |

The sound means that the Ferrari edges it for me. But I also really love the Lotus as it has nice and challenging handling and looks great!

Based on handling only? Very difficult question because I prefer different cars at different circuits. Overall though, I currently like driving the Brab. Although 8 of my 11 pbs were set in the Lotus, I don't like driving it that much. It takes too long to warm everything up and get it in the groove, whereas the Eagle or the Brab you can really push straight away, even though, ultimately, they are not as fast (except with the Eagle at Spa, perhaps).
But one thing I will say is - drive them all. You're missing out on part of the GPL experience if you dont. I regularly drive all 7 cars. |

I love all the cars really, don't get much done in the BRM or the Cooper, because they're not very good for getting your rank better, but personally for the TTFL a BRM at Monaco would be very interesting.
Actually, has anyone got the new Monaco upgrade, i'm off to try it now |

In terms of out and out chuckability?? It's got to be the Honda - a wonderfully progressive chassis, can powerslide for hours on end. However, favourite car overall?? The absolutly wonderful 312.

Did you blow up the engine last nite as you came over the line or not, the game got stuck as you approached the line, and then you said, "like that?" but i still wasn't sure if you had actualy succeeded
I like the BRM as well, but it's useless at twisty tracks, you might as well not bother with first gear, the thing goes like a snail in 1st |

Oh yes, I pulled out of La Source screaming in first and then chucked it into reverse as I crossed the line - sure fire way to reduce the engine and transmission to it's component parts - beats stripping it down!

the Eagle's my choice, it's quite a fun and fast car to drive. i do like chucking the Ferrari around - but it's too easy to handle to make it that fun. the cooper is good around the right circuit - like the ring'.
i hate the Brabham, BRM and the god-damn Lotus! |

The BRM i love, because it's typical British, too heavy, big, and ridiculously overcomplicated, without resorting to something really stupid, like an engine at each wheel or something.

I'm feeling most comfortable on the wheel of Eagle.
