Speed traps at Le Mans?????
At Le Mans, is seems to be that the trap speeds that are recorded by the cars for the annual book are taken now at the Indianapolis curve? I have always thought that the first part of the Mulsanne straight was the fastest part of the track, even still today?? Why doesn't the ACO take the top speeds at the end of the first part of the Mulsanne straight anymore? It is fastest there, isn't it???

The first part of Hunaudières and the straight from Mulsanne to Indianapolis give nearly the same results.
I used to think that the Hunaudières were the fatest but it's not necessarily the case. |
