Ceramics

Anyone know anything about the use of ceramics within f1 engines? There are some things about valves being ceramic but surely thats not all. Anyone know of any good informative websites about the topic. I am a 2nd year degree student doing a project on this topic and thought it would be a good topic too post.

BORON CARBIDE coatings and DLC [Diamond-like Coatings] are the "rage"... Take a look at http://www.bodycote.com
