sawbench should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
H/C Champ Fleetwood may stop at end 2004

read in Autosport that Fleetwood may stop at end of season?
What do others think? Should he wait until Jnr gets his car up to speed and see who wins that battle?

time to move on?
getting a bit boring winning championships by early August....

comments?

I'd like to see him try circuit racing.

It worked for Andy Priaulx.

Truly talented driver who has the ability to succeed at whatever series he goes for.

Would like to see him head-to-head with jr for another year first, though...

Don't think he has much more to prove in hill climbing, but weather that means he is going to do well on the circuits I don't know. Can't think of anyone apart from Andy P. who has done well in circuit racing.
what ever he decides (by the sound of it money is the stumbling block(isn't it always))I for one wish him well.

the only difference is that I think Adam has more money behind him than Andy P had.

Andy struggled for a couple of years but persistance paid off (eventually!!).

I wish Adam the best but it will deprive us of a fantastic duel between the two of them.

A lot of people thought he would calm down slightly when Jnr announced he was out of the running when his GR51 engine gave up the ghost but he hasnt so dont give up hope of seeing Adam on the hills next year..

IMHO, Adam will only do the Hills next year as another advert for his talents if he doesn't get a circuit drive instead.

He's certainly got the speed, only time will tell if he has the knowledge. (to race).

It will be interesting to see what comes of this. The advert in Autosport clearly shows he is serious about possibly going circuit racing.

Good luck to him whatever he decides to do!

Depends what you term "doing well"

Ex hill champs such as Martin Bolsover and David Franklin have done very well on the circuits in big sports racers and some who have been succesful in smaller classes such as Tim Barrington have proved very adept in classic racing.

Andy Priaulx has taken almost 10 years on his march through the ranks and as Crazy Stu said, persistence has paid off.
His year in the Spider Cup was awesome and he really showed the others how it was done. Although I don't normally follow, tintops his year in the ETCC has benn interesting to say the least.

The trouble is he would go from being a big fish in a small pond to small fish in a big pond . The amount of testing done for circuit racing combined with plenty of runoff area allows all but the most untalented to find the limits of the car and put in a quick time
