Would have to be a non-championship event like the AGP. Also would Channel 7 be able to broadcast given Channel 10 hold the GP rights?

that would be crap for the teams out of enduro mode pack the cars in a crate then do the same reverse and try to get ready for Bathurst, not fair to them.

As Pro states - the cars have to be in Bathurst on the Wed (Tues??) before the Bathurst 1000 - even for extremely quick turnaround from Singapore they wouldn;t be back at home bases until at the very earliest Tuesday, most likely Wed or even Thurs giving them only 5 days to work on any damage/preparation to cars (Tues of the following week being a travel day to Bathurst)

Or perhaps move the Phillip Island 500 back...
If you move Bathurst forward, you'd have to move the gold coast forward too. Cant do that now... |

Bathurst won;t move - it needs an Act of Parliament to change the dates IIRC.
They can always claim OH&S issues for PI and cancal it like they have elsewhere! |

I'd actually quite like to see the lap around the Marina Circuit. Was over there for the supports last year, 3 support classes, with hours of dead time and only 1 race for 2 of the classes (!!!). I'll be over again, and wouldn't mind having this spice things up

Why do people think that they wouldn't move Bathurst ??? Cochrane has already proved he is willing to stomp all over tradition. He moved Bathurst to November in the 90's and then back to the week after the traditional October long weekend after !!!! Why wouldn't he do it again ?!??!

Cocho didnt move it away from the weekend, channel 7 made him because they wouldnt let ch ten show it, but he did move it a few times till he found a suitable weekend (helped by ch 7 failure to promote the traditional weekend)
I woudl say its locked in now |

He couldn't get the traditional weekend back because the NRL was smarter than him and locked it up when they saw the opening.

"More OS events planned"
Fantastic, more overseas events with less chance of following the races from home. It seems that the Aussie fans are less and less important, the emphasis on making the big $$$$$$. Getting very tedious 19 Commodores, 10 Fords. I guess eventually we will be stuck with a series like the local Abu Dhabi series, one make Commodore racing. Loosing interest rapidly. |

Channel 7?
Is #7 getting value from these 'out of hours' rounds ?
I'm not across TV ratings, how does it rate? |

So a street race in Perth and I can only guess one in Hobart would be the two new events domestically?
Progress the Fuji series and call it the ATCC, or hand the title to prodcars tho, as they will be Australian based. |
