GP2 Valencia 2011
after a month break these cars are back in action and just like the last race these cars are on the streets, this time in Valencia and one driver will hope not to repeat his flying lesson from last year. (Kral)
last years race winners were Maldoano & Eriicsson These guys made a mess of turn 2 and 4 last year which trigger one of a lot of safety cars last year at this track so hope for cleaner turn 2 & 4. |

I remember last year Perez made a blinder off the line in Race 2 only to get harpooned by some clutz into the first turn.
Looks like the series will be a straight fight between Grosjean and Bianchi in the long haul but Bird and a few others will get in there. Maybe Marcus E can do well there again? |

Bianchi is currently in 13th in the championship and is making more errors than anyone so I think that's a bold call at this stage. Grosjean is clearly quick but any of the top 5 could win it yet and maybe even more.
It would be nice for Ericsson to get a better result here, hopefully there will be a bit less carnage than last year! |

Great news, he was on the pace pretty much straight away in the previous 2 rounds. Should be able to help Carlin with some set up info as well I would've thought.

Wish they showed a highlights package on terrestrial TV of GP2, Eurosport coverage appears to be non live now anyway. |

There was a delay in the start today (blame GP3 and someone dropping oil) and Eurosport when saying about the German tracks get the right track for the German round! This German round is in Nurburgring, not Hockenhiem.
I wonder how many people will get pens today for avoiding the 3 car pile up at turn 4/5? |

I watched the race, but it was a little boring today. At least Bianchi showed something of his old form and pulled some good moves. The ART drivers were on form both in GP3 and GP2, congratulations for Esteban Gutierrez, great win for him.
I don't know what Pic was thinking. He couldn't avoid Gonzalez (and Grosjean), but putting his car on top of Gonzalez' was not necissary. |

I think this is from the Sam Bird part of the race as Grosjean is pen number 5 of the weekend, This one rolls over to Silverstone as he get a ten grid pen for the 1st race (he then spun and cue the pile up). I was expecting pens for track limits due to this crash.
