Alesi to race at the German GP?

i just heard this on ITV. if Fizzy aint in a condition to race, then Jean Alesi could be asked to fill in. i would love to see Jean in F1 again, where he should be.

I was *just* about to start the "who will race for Jordan at Hokk" poll!!

Alesi?? I've seen weirder things. Jordan don't really have an immediate replacement do they??

Hopefully a young driver, someone with potential rather than a retired driver - someone like Wilson or Zonta who could use a run in the Jordan to prove something.

Nothing against Alesi, as he was pure brilliance, but his time has passed.

That is terrible news for Jordan. Sato did well on a track that Michelin has the advantage on. I feel had be been there he would have been in the top ten. EJ does not even have a test driver. Maybe Alesi is the best choice now.

How about Badoer? Wilson deserves at least one race though.

just read this on www.autosport.com

Jordan star Giancarlo Fisichella will definitely miss the French Grand Prix following his practice accident on Saturday morning.

The Italian was pulled out of qualifying as a precaution despite suffering no physical injuries in the shunt. Jordan had hoped that he would be judged fit after a check up on race morning and would be allowed to start from the back of the grid.

Pleased that it says precaution despite suffering no physical injuries, i expect to see Fisi back in the Jordan at Hockenheim!

What choices does EJ have now. Is there anyway a second Jordan could be in the race?

Nope, you have to have had your drivers sorted by the qualifying session - before that any driver can take part in the practice session.

Yeah that's no doubt. What IS in doubt is Germany. If Fissi can't run, then who can??

It's highly likely Giancarlo will be fit for Hockenheim, after all he did walk away from the wreckage.

If he where unavailable then it's unlikely Alesi would replace him.
Jean now has strong links with current employers Mercedes, and although a test driver seat looks to have disapeared he would be far more likely to replace one of the Mclaren drivers if they where injured and even then he would have to fight off competetion from Wurz a far more likely candidate.

Theres a thought Wurz annouces that three teams are in talks with him, perhaps he could fill Fissy vacant seat?

Number Juan has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
having said that he walked away from his wreckage alesi95, we saw Alesi walk away from his hockenheim shunt and have reccuring migraines and nausea.

when decelaration suddenly occurs, the rate of it is measured by something called ions per second, im not sure how it works BUT i do know it can be worked out through equations quite simply. if the 'prof' works out its any more than 8000 ions per second, he will not race next time out because decelarations of over 6000 ions per second cause injuries that aren't immediately noticeable but surface a week or so later on. 8000 ions per second is the threshold of serious head injuries and throughout the 90's and noughtie's, the prof has made sure that its not possible to reach the upper thresholds.

True, Don't forget Frentzen had similar problems after his Monaco smash last year and was replaced at Canada at the last minute by Zonta.

Incidently I wonder if Sato has been suffering the same problems all season causing him to crash out whenever possible. (I'm Kidding!)

Gary Paffet, Justin Wilson, Narian Karthikeyan, Bernoldi or Frentzen. All young guns (excpt Frentzen) with something to prove, I doubt Narian, but he has tested with the team recently, Justin Wilson would love the chance and Eddie Jordan said that he was very close to employing him at the start of the season, but Honda persuaded him otherwise. Gary is a freind of EJ and currnetly quick in german F3, so he'll know the circuit and EJ could try out a new star. Admit it you lot Bernoldo aint bad!!!

EJ said that he is actively trying to sign up Frentzen. EJ said on ITV that "we did try to have Heinz here with us today, it's a shame that Arrows lawyers got involved as he surely would have done us a good job, but if Giancarlo can't drive next week then we shall try again to secure Heinz."

Badoer's name gets mentioned by the sentimental types every time a sniff of a seat for even a single race comes up. The fact that he never actually gets one surely tells us that he's not that good???

Tomas Enge won't take it because he's involved in a battle for the F3000 championship.

Justin Wilson would be a candidate, but frankly his performances in the Nissan series have been less than convincing, and has his name come up anywhere besides in here concerning seats next year?!?!

I'm very surprised EJ offered HHF a drive, and even more surprised when HHF accepted. Goes to show that HHF is a real racer..... It's a shame he wasn't allowed, as I'm sure he would have done well.
