Marshal Memorbilia

Visited the Beaulieu Spring Autojumble today, and amongst the various bits of old cars, etc, found someone selling a BMRMC lapel badge, like the ones sold to members up to last year.

And they were selling it for £40!

If that's the going price for recent stuff, I wonder how much for my 1982 British GP badge (which I'm NOT selling anyway!).

Cheers

Forgot to add, for non BMMC members, these badges were on sale up to the end of last year at just £2!

Steve did they give a reason for selling it at that much? Was it a special edition silver press????? Did they think it was something else? Seems really daft, bet no-onebought it.

Manic,

There was mothing special about the badge at all!!!! They were also selling some "Dog House" bits and pieces, which looked older and were silver, hence price of £120 for the label badge, but the BMRMC badges were the standard issue. I suspect they just didn't know and had inflated the price accordingly.

In the Motor Museum at near St David's in South Wales, there is a BMRMC "Shield" car grill badge, which I was told was donated a few years back.
It was, apparently, available to members in 1965.
