I just found this website, http://www.racingsportscars.com/photo.html photos of cars at Le Mans from the 70s onwards, and lots of other sportscar racing. Ive always found it quite hard to get pics of cars from Le Mans pre 1993 and I imagine so does everyone else. So there u go, enjoy.

, I wasnt sure to either post it here or in the Cool sites board. But I decided here, that way if u didnt want it here u could move it, but if I didnt put it here chances are most people woudnt have seen it in the first place.

Well I guess "Cool Sites" is probably the right place and I'll probably move it there eventually, but I think we sportscar lovers (particularly those hung up on Group C like me

) should have the chance to check it out straight away. I may even let them have a few of my shots.....

I love this site for just looking back to see what was kicking around beore my time...I used a link to that site to show Herb Adams' Chevrolet-Escort CanAm car from the early '80s (Watkins Glen 1983?) in the "Ugliest Sportscar" thread from a while ago. The site is a wonderful resource for many different purposes.

I think i've heard of a site with pictures of old tracks, but i can't remember the name of it. Try doing a search on google.com or one of those engines.

Its really hard trying to find some photos of the straight, my dad has just started to get into Le Mans u see, so I was trying to find him some photos of what the Mulsanne used to look like. Ah well..

There are some good books out there, such as Clausager's Le Mans. But you're better off investing in some vids of Le Mans pre-90. Get yourself a copy of the Radio Le Mans videos from 1987 to 1989 - I still rate them as the best sportscar videos I've ever seen.

No probs. I really do recommend them. I even used to record the commentary to tape to listen to in the car (what am I like? (as Ainsley would say!). The tapes from 1987 to 1995 have the benefit of commentary lifted straight from Radio Le Mans's commentary during the race, so its really spontaneous and often very funny. They therefore feature my two favourite commentators - Paul Truswel and Ian Titchmarsh.
