Motorsport in the UK
I have just arrived in London from Australia for two years on a working visa. I don't know anything about your local racing over here. What are the best events coming up and are they easy to get to from London? I really want to see as much European motor racing as I can while I am here. Any Information would be greatly appreciated.
I have seen and have interest in everything from V8 Supercars all over Australia to F1, Indycar and basically anything with a motor and wheels. |

TMS a good place to start might be the 2004 calendars thread that will give you an idea of what's coming up

Rallycross next weekend (I think) Brands Hatch (20 miles SE of London) Autosport Show January NEC Birmingham (train from Euston) Classic Car Show NEC Birnmingham this weekend Because of a funny little thing called winter and us being in the northern hemisphere racing is a bit thin on the ground for a few months - have fun whatever |

Jos rallycross is indeed the weekend of 15th & 16th November and I believe a winter series finale the weekend after for the BRSCC event.

Donington Park (Nr Derby but see www.marshalspost.com for all circuit details) this Sunday 9th November has Trucks, Karts and 2-CVs. For my money the Karts will be best fun but it is quite a good circuit for trucks.

The meeting at Silverstone this coming weekend should be a cracking one! Loads of Formula Fords - six races I think, minis, porsches, clubmans, historic sports cars. 15 races in all over the two days.

TMS - If you are able to next season - you really want to see some Speed Hillclimb! F3 Tubs paired down, massive downforce, F1 Engines - result 140MPH up Twisty narrow country tracks against the clock - Yum!
