Alex Zanardi

Hi there,

Does anyone know if a diecast version of the CART Champcar Alex drove in Germany in May 2003 has been made by any of the model companies?

The reason for wanting this is that he and I share the fact that we became amputees through motorsport, he as a driver, me as a marshal, and i have the chance to meet him in June this year. And if I was able to get a model of the car, then I could get him to sign it for me.

If anyone can come back with some information from anywhere in the world, I would be most grateful.

Hi there Steve. Good to see you in the "Armchair".

I don't know the answer to your question, but I'm sure someone here does.

Now the bad news - I'm afraid I have to remove your website url from your post - Ten Tenths rules, I'm afraid - posters cannot advertise their sites in their posts or their sigs. Sorry.

I think SpeedGear here is the US offered a Pioneer liveried Zanardi car. You might be able to fins out who the manufacturer is and find them locally.

jj2728 has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
currently there are no 2003 cars available.....ACTION did make the players/forsythe cars in 1/18th scale of tracy/carpentier, but though they had 2003 liveries, they were actually 2001 cars...your best bet is to probably try and hook up with someone who does conversion work...
