Shaggy_SoCal should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
GPL Newbie Needs Help

I've finally done it. I went on e-Bay and bought Grand Prix Legends. I am now anxiously waiting by my mailbox for it.

So, while I wait, where are the best places on the web to get setups, tracks, cars, etc...?

Thanks for the help.

Oh my goodness, that's a question and a half Shaggy! But firstly welcome to the world of GPL addiction and obsession. Please make plans to give up all thoughts of a private life, relationships and anything other than sitting in front of a steering wheel and your pc......

I think I can do no better initially than to recommend you visit the forums at racesimcentral. If I remember rightly, the url is

http://gplea.racesimcentral.com/

Look out on the forum for Bob Simpson's beginners guide. That will help you with all the necessary patches and technical stuff. Its far more important to get the sim running right before you start applying all the eye candy.

More advice from myself and other to follow.

Sorry Ayse, but hte beginners guide is actually here

Beginners Guide

But the GPLEA is still great for getting all the cars etc.
The guide contains al the links you'll need, do what it says and you can't go wrong (well i didn't anyway).

BTW the RSC forums are here
RSC Forums
masses of info on there (as Ayse alreday mentioned), just look under the GPL section.

Hope it helps
Ed

That's not the guide I was thinking of Ed, but its still good. Bob's guide is more for setting up GPL, rather than driving it.

Either of those addresses gets me to the forums.

I have literally dozens and dozens of links in my favourites for cars, tracks, patches and goodness knows what else. But not here at work.....

ahhhh, fair enough. The phil lee one is the one I'm most familiar with, after all its the one I used recently when starting out. Might have to keep an eye out for the Bob simpson one too....

WOW! Thanks for all the links.

I've played the demo a few times so I've gotten a taste as to just how delicate those cars are to drive. I'm too used to ICR2.

Again. Thanks.
