TSR has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
FPR or HRT no different at the begining

There is no difference between HRT & FPR from the start of both organizations, it was not until Gricey won Bathurst in 1990 that HRT won there first big win, and if my memory is right HRT started in 85 so that mean it was 5 years till there moment in glory. FPR hve being going for 2 years and it was not till CL joined HRT that they started there winning steak in the Touring Car title.

So all I am saying is give FPR a fair go, result will come. Lowdnesy seems confidante in the long run, so should the FORD fans.

HRT may have been uncompetitive as the rules didnt suit (and no amount of Holden politicking could fix them until 1993....) but they didnt DNF at every attendance AND be slow at the same time....

Grimace should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Lowndes is too valuable a FORD resource to be wasted building up a team.

He should be in a current top car e.g.(Ingalls) supporting/challenging or maybe beating Marcos who has to fly the FORD flag alone at the front with a pack of Holdens.

It is POOR BUSINESS sense for FORD AUSTRALIA(stupidity) to allow Lowndes talents to be wasted in this role- a senseless waste of talent and Ford money!!!!

I dont know how long before Stephen Kruk and Tom Gorman WAKE UP!!!!

TSR unfortunately you are RIGHT..

why ARE they so "doughy"? and lack dynamic managment ability and sound business decisions to better the FORD brand name at the V8 racetrack in which they so have already so expensively invested???

It absolutely baffles me why they do it when they have absolute power to move the contracted drivers around to performing teams ???????????

It is truly one of the most amazing mysterys to me?

HRT did not start in '85. They were still HDT then under the old Brock operation which split in early '87.

There were 2 years with Perkins under different guises but HRT didn't really come into existence until 1990 when they of course won Bathurst.

And people just shook their heads, bit their lips and wondered who would be second".

Ahem, I don;t disagree with everything you say, but Ingall has just as much right to a team/car as Lowndes and the better handling of his switch is nothing that can be criticised!. It is a shame that Lowndes has been in the dark for a while now. Maybe not for much longer. Taking Ingall's spot away is not justified given his results- two round wins in his first year with a new team and new brand and high profile popularity for SBR, Ford, Caltex V8 Supercar and cornerstone participation in the entertainment-based "V8 Superstars" panel show.

I agree with you Mattracer. Lowndes deserves a good car and team, but not at Ingall's expense.

Ford just need more high performing team. SBR cannot do it alone against HRT, KMR, PWR, and Perkins.
