Corvette C5-R- downfoce data
I was searching for some downforce data and found in "AUTO ZEITUNG /16/2002/" that
Corvette C5-R /2002/ can generate downforce of 1200 kg at top speed. So It is 2645 lbs @ 190 mph /if 190 is top speed as Mike pointed/. |

The top speed data comes from Le Mans, a "low" downforce track. So its difficult to determine what to do with that downforce data as it is more than likely maximum downforce achievalble by the car. I'd say top speed in high downforce trim is somewhere in the region of 170 mph.

Top speed was calculated for Cd =0,55 so it should be for high downforce
configuration. If you look at Corvette and compare size of the wing to other GTS cars, their wing is so much bigger so they are running even at Le Mans on high doenforce configuration |

The .55 was for an assumed low downforce configuration and hence the 190 mph top speed dervied from it. I'd suggest that when pulling 2645 lbs. of downforce the drag will be substantially more than .55 as that was my guesstimate for Le Mans.
