MENU-wins when he has the best car and is at the front. He moans when he is taken out in the midfield because he's not a good racer, and never admits blame.

THOMPSON-eternal whinger. Looks at everthing else but himself-he'd change the colour of the car if he thought it would make him go faster.

Both arrogant and full of themselves. Both capable of doing extremely stupid things and blaming it on someone else.

Not just capable - they frequently blame every little scratch on whoever was nearest at the time while it was themselves trying to push everyone off the track.

Talking of that and another thread which I cannot find---

If they can only drive one car (no spares) - the one who is winning the championship might as well paint a big bulls eye on the boot. One good punt in the sprint and he might as well go home.

Why? The rule allowing use of a teammate's car was only a very recent addition. Prior to that there were no spare cars at all and it was never that much of an issue.

I have to be honest here - if you asked me to name two drivers that have spat their dummy out more times over the past few years, Menu and Thompson would come straight to mind. In their interviews, they seem to get upset and precious more than the other drivers do. I know all the drivers are unhappy when they haven't finished a race but their reactions in their interviews on telly just seem a little unprofessional and doesn't win them any votes from my corner.

Saying that, I was happy for Menu when he first won the championship in 1997 because he has tried for... how many years? so it is nice when a driver has got the right car and is driving well then he deserves it. I expected more from Thompson but he just hasn't got his act together the way I thought he would. I think he was the youngest (at the time) driver to enter BTCC but he just hasn't shown the professionalism that say, Jenson Button has.

Interesting that Jimmy T could be getting Menu's seat at Vauxhall!!! Basically because Menu wasn't offered enough money, and now Jimmy would take any drive for free!

But anyway, Jimmy T isnt that bad. (Sorry, but about to name drop here etc..) I was his No2 Mec for the last half off last season, and i had no problems with at all. He was friendly and polite. Very focused and sometimes quite, but thats what racing drivers do!! Some are more friendly then others.

But he and his family were getting a lot of S*** from the WSR management, and both sides made it worse. But he was no where near as stuck up as people would have you beleave.

But anyway on a personnal note, the BTCT cars this year are awful things. Im off to work on some real race cars...
