Canadians to get normal transmission
Further to our reports of North American fans still in the dark with television coverage, Canadian enthusiasts will receive normal transmission when the season starts next week. Cable sports network TSN has exclusive broadcast rights for the region, and will broadcast the British network ITV's coverage of race and qualifying throughout the season, apart from the local Canadian Grand Prix, when local presenters will be present. -------------------------------------- Our coverage may be, in normal times, truncated and frustrating, but we are getting it anyway! Tony George (Curse him) must be having a serious anxiety attack about now. Good work, Bernie! Keep it up and we will drive him into the sea! (Or anyway Lake Superior). ![]() |

Well TSN's coverage isent anything spectacular either. Listening to Vic and Gerry Donaldson talk on and on about Villunerve can get really irritating! But one thing about TSN, especially last season, their commercial breaks were certainly less that previous years during the race. In qualifying they continued with their usual practice of going to break after every 10 mins though. Actually the worst race of the season to follow is the Canadian grand prix which is shown on ctv and believe it or not - Vic is doing the play by play! Thats when the Mute button comes in handy...though Murray Walker's crush on Jenson Button did on occasion warrant the Mute button as well ...!
Anyway, at least we`re getting to see qualifying and the race. Too bad about the folks in the States.. heh heh heh ![]() |

I was wondering if all these goings ons in the states were going to affect us or not. So, it's back to the status quo, including the awful commentating from the CBC fellow here in Montreal.
It's hard to believe that in less than a week, it will be all off and running again.... |

Well our friends to the North are fortunate, those of us in the States will spend the next week apoplectic in anticipation.
