Doctors who race

All,
I'm looking for some racing doctors - not MOs, actual drivers - to form a team for the Birkett. If a team can be formed, some sponsorship may be available.
My email address is: john.r.davies@btinternet.com

Aww, I thought this was going to be some sort of 'race of champions' pitting Tom Baker, Peter Davidson, Paul McGann and Sylvester McCoy against each other

There was a guy named geoff Taylor who used to race In Mighty Minis who is a Heart Surgeon at High Wycombe Hospital. I think he packed in Mighty/Super Mighty Minis but may well still race. Not sure of any contact details.

Wotcha! No, not a medical doctor, geological (although I drink and smoke as much as most doctors I know )

Had a bit of a prod around of the BMW yesterday - better than I thought, but boy are bits expensive compared to a Ford!

Can't remember his name, but I know there is a heart surgeon who races with the HSCC. Maybe try contacting the HSCC, but in these days of the data protection act I don't know if they'll be able to help.

JohnD... could you give a little more info please, like type of car, date, etc. Would this be the Birkett 6hr at Silverstone? I have a friend who is a GP and races a very trick Proton who might be interested, but I would prefer to give him a bit more of an idea what you're doing.

Dtype, All,
Sorry, not being secretive, but not wanting to raise hopes on a wish.
I'm pitching to a health consumables company who are receptive about supporting a team in a motorsport event, yes, like the Birkett. Nothing firm yet, but I think they would prefer a team of doctors, rather than just a team. Health professionals might do!
Geologists, even if they are proper doctors? Well, if I need more members, maybe! Thanks for the suggestions - any more? A team of six is traditional.
