Golden Helmet Date Move

Its been reported on a certain website that the Silverstone Golden Helmet race scheduled for March 11 has been postponed until April 23. Adds to my dilema of dates even more now

Paul I don't have any info on this other than the 23rd is already on the calendar as a BRDC meeting at Silverstone so if the GH is moving then that would be a likely date.

Thats the one...its being moved to that meeting because of "A rationalisation of the available race dates"

Unfortunately it means that I now have a clash as well. However, in the circumstances (which I can't say any more about) this is the best move that could have been made in the interests of FF1600 as a whole.

Good grief Charlie Brown the plot thickens...that sounds a bit ominous

gutted, I was testing on the friday and then staying to watch the racing on the saturday before going over to Mallory to race on the Sunday. Now my Saturday will be really boring!!! I think I will cancel the test day and test at a different time.

Does anybody know when Nick Hewitts test day is?

spoke to Nick and it is only FF1600 at Mallory and it is £290 for the day although he is short on numbers so the day maybe cancelled anyway.

Did I read somewhere that there was a test at Anglesey in Feb? Please can someone let me know the date. Also can someone let me know zetec ratios for anglesey?

JEB has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
This is my first post for a while - so belated new year greetings to you all.

Sorry for the change of date regarding the Golden Helmet.
It was a difficult decision.

You will have probably heard the BRDC have fully cancelled the March 11th meeting at Silverstone. The Golden Helmet moves to the BRDC Spring Races on April 23rd - to become the BRDC Golden Helmet Spring Races.

Apologies to all - but it was the best I could achieve, and at least this way it keeps the name of the Golden Helmet alive and operational in 2006 and allows us to continue towards the sixth WHT in November.

I will have entry forms available for the Golden Helmet from early February.
Any WHT competitor will automatically receive one - anyone else who may be interested please email me at the BRDC - James.Beckett@brdc.co.uk or keep an eye on the website www.brdc.co.uk for updates.

Thanks for your support - and I hope you all have a successful 2006 season.

The BRDC only took delivery of the DVDs the other day, and were been sent out straight away.
All copies were mailed yesterday and so should be reaching people today (Thursday).

In historic circles the Derek Bell Trophy is near enough an old style single seater Formula Libre series. Why not ask the HSCC if any of the DBT competitors want to do a race at the WHT and open it up to any single seater? Would be like the old BRDC Silverstone Jaybrand libre series with F5000s to the fore! Many HSCC competitors are BRDC members too I guess.

my little F4 would get swamped!!! JEB limit it to either 1.8 or 2.0l!!! Then all the FF2000's could have 2 races if they wanted!!

Don't forget I was having a historic race in 2005 - mainly with F2 cars in mind.
I had to scrap it, as I only had 2 entries.

Libre up to 2 litre sounds good, get some Monos, F4s, older F3s etc.

Dunno Justin, I'm a bit busy SCSA wise at present.

Might do some Club F3 but will do the WHT no matter what.
