Races of Attrition
Can anyone think of races where there were just a few cars that made it to the end?
Lets see if we can relive some memories....... |

most recent was 500-miler at Fontana six years ago, I reckon.
only 5 cars finished (Fittipaldi, Moreno, de Ferran, young Mears and Adrian Fernandez) |

Yup 6 cars were running at the end of the 2000 Fontana race with just 5 cars on the lead lap...

Yep, and that was a Monday race. I had to run for the airport as soon as the checker flew!
What about Detroit, or inaugural Houston (in the driving rain)? keke |

There was also the 94 race at Michigan where Scott Goodyear won. I think there were only 5 or 6 cars running at the end of that one.

can anyone provide me another statistic - does anyone know what the quickest race has been? (shortest yellows, fastest pace) in the past 10 years?
