First thing to do IMO is to sort out the engine and gearbox. Those bits tend to have the longest lead times.

BTW. As far as brakes are concerned I'd go for AP calipers, don't go Willwood because they tend to expand under race conditions. (I speak from experience). |

trouble is Iain, you've got to do everyone else first so you can affor dto play with your own . . . . spent a week on the Anglebox, now I'm knee deep in engines.
I have pieced together parts for the anglia engine and gearbox however, even found some ally castings floating round in the back of the lock up. |

Zef,
That was another point I was going to make. You need to earn a living too. My winter project? I'm looking at buying a boat. |

Iain, going back to the important matter of your dash search have you tried Escort-Tec down Gatwick way? Also, Prepfab had my crash pad molded by a tame glassfibre bod, but remember at time they suggested could do a complete dash that would replace pod as well. Worth a thought. Meanwhile, a pic of the '6hr' 924. Engine rebuilt and ready to go in, gearbox rebuilt and in, fuel supply redone, all hubs and brakes rebuilt or renewed. When wiring finished will all start to come together! |

After speaking to Al & Cliff at the Ace cafe i've decided what to do with the escort.
CTCRC post historic touring car,1600 xflow, seeing as i've got most of the major parts to build it I doubt it will be done for this season though. Only question is....Will it be eligible for any other series? |

As well as CTCRC we have run in CSCC Swinging Sixties and in Masters Stars of The Seventies, although as Masters was mixed with Touring 70s it wasn't much fun being constantly lapped. Also, there's always the 360 or Delta's 'Historic Mexico Challenge" |

I think important point is to keep bodywork standard- including front panel (no extra cooling holes) as it is straightforward to change oily bits to suit different regs |
