It looks good and will be a good starter series for those kiddies who want to step up from karting or just those who want to have a go at racing. It gonna be a lot cheaper than t-cars and with the 750MC running it it should be great!

I'm definatly looking into it! Its either that or the Stock Hatch Championship that I think I may be able to afford to enter in the next year or so.

there was one of the sax max cars at the 750mc meeting at mallory park back in october running in the stock hatch. got to say it was right in the middle of the pack so they are quick! i think it could be good but i think it mite get a rep like the old xr challange or hot hatch o fbeen a bit of a red flag magnet

Sheepy and Maximus...looking at your profiles you are too old for saxmax. Its for 14-17 year olds. You guys will have to head into stock hatch if you want to race.

Apparently the entry fees are extremely expensive (plus 400 notes for double header rounds), therefore maybe it's a series only for super rich kiddies..

I don't know what the entry fees are - but it is still going to be considerably cheaper to do than the alternatives.

I wouldn't have thought so. The 750mc usually has reasonable entry fees. And Ian is right...the alternatives are much more expensive. A T-Car will set you back best part of £50k before you've even thought about licences and entry fees.

Having looked at the site, the entry fee for the Brands double-header is £410 (most expensive track hire, I think). The standard single-header fee is £245.
Bear in mind that there is additional track-time associated with this championship, in that for each race there is an additional 15-minute untimed session as well as one 15-minute qualifying session at each meeting. There may also be other additional costs associated with running this championship - but there may well be other additional driver benefits as well. |

See I don't think it's that bad at all (compare it to what else is around) - and the cars aren't that expensive to buy....ta for doing legwork Ian

Don't make the same mistake I did.
saxmax.com is not, repeat not, the website for this new racing series. |

Perhaps they could be the official sponsor of the series.

This probably gets asked all the time but.......what do you guys think is the best championship for a first timer to consider entering? Saloons or single seaters, I'm not particularly fussed which although I would expect that single seaters cost much more than your stock hatch etc

Single seaters depending what you want to do (for fun, hobby whatever), but I'm biased because I love them....

I guess a lot of the cost depends on availability/price of parts when they need replacing.
