PWR = Paul Weel Racing and it was in fact driven by Paul Weel. If I recall the sponsors were KJ Thermal and/or K & N air filters.

There's a bit of information here under 'Ford Years' http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_Weel_Racing

A bit on the driver:

A picture of your car at Bathurst:

Sorry just realised this is chassis 002. I think that might have been the VIP Petfoods Falcon run by Cameron McLean, but I will keep looking!

Check out v8supercars.com.au for more pics.

From what I recall PWR 002 was their first AU that was raced. As 001 was written off in testing just after its completion in 1999.

PWR also sold these really cool blow up race seats painted up like their race car.

The one I posted must be too? Forgot that 002 (I think) was sold to Cameron Mclean (Greenfield Mowers) for the 2000 season.

Recall that PWR01 was damaged in a testing accident (but not destroyed) and hence didn’t debut until round 4. This was the car that became the Cameron McLean car in 2000. Looks like the car in post #4 is at Adelaide in 2001, if so it would be PWR03.

Well I'm convinced this is the car that Cameron McLean (Paragon Motorsport) ran in 2001 & 2002 under Greenfield Mowers then VIP Petfoods sponsorship.

That would explain the yellow paint!

Here it is:

Not 100% sure though.

This TT post shows PWR02 was raced by the Howard Racing team before Adam Sharpe:

http://tentenths.com/forum/showpost....8&postcount=51

I'll keep digging...

This article is about Cameron McLean driving the car for Howard Racing in 2004:

http://www.crash.net/v8+supercars/ne...rd_racing.html

It looks like Aaron McGill also drove this car during the year.

Here it is:

The 01 car was reposessed by Greenfields at the Queensland 500 after some legal issues. Anyone car to elaborate. This car is still in the hands of Brett Peters? Barry Tanton used it last?

The 02 VIP car was the ex PHR Budweiser AU.

The 2001 car was I believe always owned by major sponsor Greenfield Mowers. IIRC the dispute arose when the team ran VIP Petfoods sponsorship at the Ipswich 500 and Greenfield had a problem with it, hence they withdrew their support.

After sitting out 2002, the car next appeared in the 2003 development series with Brett Peters still with Greenfield sponsorship.

The car McLean drove for Howard Racing in 2004 was PWR05.

Think the car in post#9 probably is PWR02, certainly this is the 2000 paint scheme.

From the Info I have:

PWR01 was built in 1999, campaigned as Car 43 for the year, went to Cameron McLean in 2000, Then Munday in 2001 to become the Chance of a lifetime car.

PWR02 was built in 2000 and used as Car 43 until enduros when PWR03 was debuted. PWR02 was then Car 45 (Canto in 2001)

PWR03 was built in 2000 and used in enduros, and Car 43 for 2001 until enduros.
PWR04 was built in 2001 and used in enduros, and Car 43 for 2002 until Phillip Island.
PWR05 was built in 2002 debuted at Phillip Island.

PWR moved to Commodores in 2003

In 2004 the Howard Racing team campained 3 x PWR Falcons in the development series which I understood to be 03,04 & 05 and I thought one of these cars was sold to Adam Sharpe and sent to England.

The other Cameron McLean Falcons are:

Greenfield Mowers AU - Ran as Car 40 in 2001 which then went to Peters' Motorsport
ex. Prancing Horse Racing AU (PHR14) built in 2001, but sold to McLean in 2002 and run under VIP Pet Foods Car 40 that year.

WOW thanks for all your replies
So it recap on its histroy- correct me if im wrong & please fill in the blanks !
it was car 43- paul weel
then car 45 ??
then Cameron McLean 40 Paragon
then 56 John Henderson AU - Ex. PWR -ex. Howard 2004 (PWR02) in the fugitsu series before coming to uk in probably 2007
However after scraping the layers of paint off the underside/interior/engine bay of this car was originally yellow before being paint orange, but weels 43 car was clearly white inside from the photos ?? unless they dipped the shell before painting it yellow ??

Generally pretty right I think. Here's a few extras:

1. PWR#1. This went as B!tchie says. Dave Russell ran the COAL car. The shell ended up with the Seiders family as a spare, when they were racing the ex Tratt AU.

2, PWR#2. Again, correct. The car was bought by Terry Steer for Dean Canto to run in 2001. It then went to Howard Racing where Tim Gordon drove it. It was then sold to John Henderson. I think a collector now has this in Sydney.

3. PWR#3. This chassis was also bought by Howard and run during 2003 and 2004. I think this is the chassis which was sold to a Kiwi, in 2005 I think, who ran it in the endurance series in the South Island. Mark Howard co-drove one year as part of the deal. That car was on the market a couple of years ago and I think was purchased by Team Kiwi, where it was re-skinned as a BA/BF and used as their ride car. I think it still lives in TKR's workshop in NZ.

4. PWR#4. This chassis was also purchased by Howard Racing and I think is the chassis in question, which Adam Sharpe took to the UK in 2004/2005. He already had an ex Tratt AU and he ran them in the Britcar series in the UK.

5. PWR#5. Again, this car was bought by Howard Racing. It was run by Sharpe in the 2006 Fujitsu series and was then sold at the end of 2006 to Garry Willmington, to use as a base for his new "V8 Giant" category. The car was then bought by Darren Saillard at the end of 2007 to replace his ex Longhurst EL. Although Darren now runs an ex FPR AU re-skinned as a BA, I believe he still owns PWR#5.

6. The ex Greenfields Mowers AU was run by Rod Dawson for Brett Peters and then for Barry Tranton in the Fujitsu series. I think Dawson or Tranton still owns the car.

7. The ex PHR/VIP car was sold to David Thexton. From there, it went to Matthew White (as a job lot when he bought the Thexton BA) and then to Peter Vicary, who ran it in Gulf Western Oil colours in the TCC. I believe the car now resides in WA, although it was for sale a little while ago.

I'm sorry, but shouldn't it be easier (than as indicated above) to keep track of a 'log-booked' V8 supercar ??????????
