I know that ALL BRDA entry fee's will be £150!!!!
That makes doing the BRDA stockhatch championship cheaper than the BTRDA as when the BTRDA joins the open championship the entry is £190 |

While I am pleased entry fees are coming down, surely it should be more expensive to do the BRDA/MSA Championship. Otherwise nobody will bother with the BTRDA, which has no TV, and if any finals get dropped it's usually the BTRDA ones. |

All I was trying to say is that the BTRDA entry fees should be cheaper than the BRDA/MSA ones. Because I fear that if they are that same price, it devalues the status of the top flight championship. Also if drivers look at both championships with the same entry fee they could well not bother with the BTRDA at all, because it is lower status, there is no TV and there is more likelihood of their races being canceled. I think if the entry fees had been set at £140 for the BTRDA and say £180 (including TV money) for the BRDA/MSA, everyone would still be happy, because that is still a significant reduction from last year. . Have to agree SB. This price structure means that newcomers (who have to race in the BTRDA) will be paying significantly more in entry fees than MSA regulars. That can't be sensible if we're trying to attract new people into the sport.

run the brda as its cheaper but i have no control tyre so therefore now it's not so cheep ,(personally not bothered about TV) ,, run the btrda (which i was thinking ) now more expensive for what reason i do not know
run in revivals (was going too coz the nova getting old) open series (overall could be cheeper) but £100 to join the brda/btrda !!!! headbang !!!!! is that the entry fees for the btrda £!90 a meet is that all the meetings!!!!! |

My beliefs was that 'Clubmans class' is supposed to be the cheaper option, to be enjoyed by the privateer who wants to do some competitive driving without breaking the bank.
Reading between the lines. The BRDA Rallycross Assosiation do not want us BTRDA clubman drivers at there meetings. |

Hang on, hang on, I think this has gone a little awry.
The entry fee for the BRDA events will be £150 across the board, INCLUDING the BTRDA entry. The entry fee for the Open Championship is £190, so the BTRDA will pay this entry when it runs at the Open meetings. When the BTRDA runs at the MDA meetings, it is usually about £150 entry. So the entry fees are dependent on which meeting the BTRDA runs at. It's nothing to do with the BRDA not wanting the BTRDA at their meetings, nor will it make very much difference to the cost of entry fees over a championship: 2007 - 165 x 9 = £1485 2008 - (150 x 5) + (190 x 4) = £1510 This is out of the hands of the BTRDA, as far as I can see, and certainly isn't anything to do with the BRDA at all, or probably the Open for that matter. |

I think you have got it right as well.
The point I was trying to make is. If the BRDA have got their costings right, they should have made the BTRDA entrys even cheaper, and left the BRDA/MSA entry fee at a slightly higher level. After all the BRDA/MSA is a national 'A' level event, higher status, higher profile and often more track time. It seems to me that the clubmen on a very tight budget could have been helped out a little more, than the BRDA/MSA competitors who generally have larger event budgets. Quote:
