PEMBREY...Trucks,Trucks & Pick up Trucks

Oct 20/21

Pembrey,
now i`ve seen a few meetings with the trucks before, but due to the big field of them, there running as Group A,Group B.
Futhermore, pick up trucks are coming down to play,
not seen them before, but going by some video footage, they look well tasty.
2 groups of MG`s which are always good racing, followed by 2cv`s,all 2 hrs of them.
i`ve been told that they are very entertaining to watch.
On Sunday we will be welcoming ‘Sally Traffic’ from Radio 2 to truck racing. Sally has just launched a new book and this will be a rare opportunity for Radio 2 fans to meet her.

Also there is going to be entertainment in the bar aswell on the sat night.

So are you going to take a little holiday and come & visit us at Pembrey,
I think this is going to be one of the many highlights of the season.

I cant wait for the carnage or should that be truckage on the weekend
but as a marshal of previous two hour cv races, i would recommend a comfy chair and some good books to read

p.s dont forget the red shorts "Robin"

If my calculations are correct, we can have 2 flag marshals on each post. We even have 2 XObs, which is rare for Pembrey.

Daviesfever is right though, the 2 hour 2CV race last year was very boring indeed. Incidents are few and far between and once you've seen them running on each others bumpers and door handles for 10 laps...zzzz

Stig if they get that boring,
we could always play i spy.

i did see we got a few more bods than normal,
but good to see a healthy number of trainee`s on the list.
that`s almost 3 trainee`s per post, but all depends on how many are doing startline.

If you find the 2CVs boring I suggest you TRY to do a complete lap chart, including noting when each car pits. They may not be fast, but they come round in groups and my old brain can't transfer the numbers to my pen before the next group arrives. At least they generally have clear numbers on the FRONT and sides. BTCC take note.

Of course, I knew that since I asked you earlier.

Not a bad day out was it? I like these Pick up truck things. They can come again!

Overall it was a good weekend of racing,
even stayed awake when the 2cv`s were out,
there weren`t as bad as i thought they were gonna be.

Pick up trucks were the dogs B*****ks.

Trucks in general provided some good racing esp on the last race of the day for the `B` & `A` classes.
Managed to get some pics of both of the trucks in that last incident.

So the BARC season ends for another year at Pembrey and what a good year it has been,
just got the bikes and a rally to do down there this year.

Mr J
Thanks for you kind comments

Stig Working,
can we take a vote on that

After effect of the incident

Close looking at 32,you`ll notice the lack of windscreen.

was a bit concerned as i thought Mr Horner was going to go home with the bumper still attached to his lorry.
But he just got unlucky on that one
