[iV8SC14R040506] Tyrepower Tasmania 400, Symmons Plains -28-30 March
So that Volvo bloke seems to be doing a lot of winning in his Polestar blue machine..
..will this continue at Symmons Plains, where the track surface isnt billiard table smooth... where the emphasis on power out of the hairpin and top speed at the end of the banana-like straight is far more critical? Will 888 come back... Will Tekno get thru a weekend without breaking anything... Will FPR get their heads out of their... well you know.. and get the car percolating for an entire weekend? Or do they miss Wilbur's fine setup touch? Will Nissan get thru a weekend without crashing into one another? Will HRT get their 4 cars home without hitting their competitors, or indeed being hit by them? Will BJR get through a race meeting without writing off a car? Too many questions, not enough answers... but there will soon be some... |

Word from the locker room, has it that the JANDALS have been clipped and Scotty must now revert to the good old Dunlop Volley, as the Jandal was found to have to much aero, light weight , and didnt conform to the ADR ( Australian Design rule), apparently Murp and Bargs are having discusions as to wether the Kiwi Jandal is the same same as the Aust Dunlop volley.
Roland has asked for a clarification if a cut down Dunlop Volley ( as boaties used to wear) is the same as a jandal, as Jamie is perplexed about this Jandal thing. Other teams are looking at the thong, or otherwise known as a rubber dunlop, circa 70's melbourne. Either way, I see the Tekno, Volvo, and maybe a Nissan(when they don't hit each other- reminds me of ford boys taking each other out) and as a dark horse, watch out for Will D in the merc, taking it to RBRA and HRT should improve. Or do a Rusty and Craig, bump to pass lol lol Last edited by fomoco; 17 Mar 2014 at 11:02. Reason: added word |

Absolutely loving the GRM / Volvo / Mclaughlin success.
And his post Clipsal interview was a ripper But the Jandal thing is getting old quick, more due to TV-heads than anything else |

Weather outlook.
Friday - rain showers and light easterly wind. could mean a mix of both dry and damp running conditions. Saturday - rain showers in the morning and I'd back it in for a south easterly Wind 10-15 knots. Clear sky in the afternoon. Sunday - overcast morning maybe a shower or two and winds turning Northwesterly. Currently a major high pressure system of 1031 hpa sitting over the state. Knowing Symmons Plains the weather will throw a curve ball at some stage. |

i do find it funny how the ch7 commentators make no mention of the Melbourne supports...Matt White just paused before saying it and referred to it as "the last event."
