If this happens its brilliant news will be getting my stock hatch out for that, great timing as with the circuit racing season now over will be good fun to do some rallycross, hopefull in some really muddy or even snowy conditions like they did in the 70's! bring it on

I thought that in the interview that Amy gave on the August BRxC TV programme, she said that the circuit would be closed over the winter so that improvements could be done.
Are the works ahead of schedule, if so this is great news |

Although if your sponsered by Hydrex I guess you can have as many machines there any time you like to get the works done.Still be interested in how they are going to remedy the start line situation and form up grids,or is there going to be a new tarmac section where the bouncy castles have been the last 2 events leading on to the existing tarmac? |

Surely they could just armco the other side of grass (start line side) of paddock bend. At the events I have been to this year all that separates the dummy grid from the track is an armco barrier (though in fairness the don't go into the final bends at Kerlabo and Maasmechelen at oevr 100 mph, so maybe it wouldnt work!)
As for the winter series, sounds great and would be great if they are ahead of schedule and can bring in Europeans - who would surely want to come try the track out for April (fingers crossed on licence) |

I believe a rally car class has been mentioned as a possible.

I guess we'll have to wait until regs appear for a final verdict - to see what the classes are and what the restrictions are. I guess something more along the lines of the revivals class would suit you?

I might bring a BMW 325 production rally car if there is going to be a suitable class for it?

Has any one got the dates yet? The rumor at Mondello was Boxing day and New years Day plus one other.
This has to be a wind up! It is a wind up isnt it? |

But i reckon it wont be those days cos most of you guys have to travel the night before. Could you imagine waking up, opening yer prezzies, then telling the wife and kids ' come on no big turkey dinner today, I will get ya's all a KFC cos we are going racing...' As it happens, it would suit me perfectly, as boxing day is the day i have to spend with HER family. I could get a right result ! BRING ON BOXING DAY RACES |

I have a vauge recollection of going to Croft on Boxing day to see a rallycross in the late 70's early 80's.

The more I think about the lydden Winter series Im sure this is where Richard Hutton in the 6r4 came through from the back of the grid in all the finals and eventually winning the Afinal to give him his first competitive win in the mighty metro Infact I will put money on it that it was the winter series lol
So yep they definatly did happen |
