I know it seems silly, but...
I still haven't got either rFactor or Race PRo (although Race Pro is pretty new, and has mixed reviews) I intend to get both, but currently only have money for one of the two. (LFS users - don't try to persuade me, I like the fact there is a large community for rFactor for me to utilise/possibly crate if the game is compatible with Blender modelling).
The reason I haven't reached for Race Pro is that I've seen mixed reviews for it, (esp due to grpahics, etc.). However, I'm not sure about rFactor either, because I have Sins of a Solar Empire on the way and will be playing that for a while, meaning I may as well have played Race Pro and then bought rfactor later. What do people think I should get first out of the two games? Thanks in advance Tathrim PS. sorry for the spelling, but I've oly just noticed it after submitting. |

Race Pro is only for xBox, therefore, unless you have that particular console, you might as well forget it (ok, for pc, you should get the Race07+GTR-Evo package, which is more or less what Race Pro is).
As for the rest, get rFactor, download the GP79, the HistoriX or the CART Factor mod, and off you can go |

I do have that particular console, else the choice would be not so difficult.

know nothing about the xbox one but rfactor caters for pretty much any racing you care to want, from single seaters to trucks. some of the mods have superb graphics (porsche and epsilon eskuadi for 2) and its rock solid online.

I, having got both rFactor and GTR-evolution, which is pretty much what Race Pro is, I would definitely go for rFactor as there are plenty of Mods out there for it as Hepatic said!
My Pc, after upgrading it, is now suffering from Mahusive FPS drops!! So I haven't been playing on the PC for a while. GT5P is keeping me off the streets, Haha! |

I'm probs gonna get rFactor first, but that will be after I've got Sins of a Solare Empire: Entrenchment from the Impulse service.
Thanks for the help to those that replied Tathrim |

Your only problem with RFactor and the main reason why I dont play it so much is that hardlyanyone plays the mods as they get older.
Everyone plays F1, Meganes and the stock car mods where the slightly older ones just sit there on empty servers. In actual fact I think there is maybe too much choice as most people simply just race one mod for a few days til the aliens come in and take over!! |
