Question About Shoes.
I think this is the right forum for the question.
Does anyone know where I can get race shoes adapted, because I need a raise putting on the bottom of the right shoe? Thanks Tom. |

You may not realise it but you don't have to use purpose made race boots.
I know a few that use ordinary shoes, and one uses cowboy boots ! |

I believe boxing boots are a favourite although I bought some budget race ones from Midgetman and such good value why wear anything else. Actually PM him as he will know if anyone does.

For walking or for driving, airbus?
Would any cobbler help with the first? Sorry "Cobblers" don't exist any more, but 'shoe repair bars' often contain people who know the business and can glue a raise onto your shoe. If you need a high one, do you go to an orthopaedic clinic for checks or for repairs of your 'civilian' shoes? The podiatrist there may be able to help. If it's for driving, can you adjust the angle of the throttle pedal for a better angle, or add a hell rest? John |

Re the original post...........AWS don't make their own, they're made in Pakistan or somewhere similar same as mine.
There's a company in Northampton called Chancery Footwear - think they're still going. One of the few UK manufacturers of FIA race boots. I expect I could get Sabelt or Uvex to supply bespoke shoes as they're Euro-made, but be prepared to pay highly. Best you go direct to Chancery first, if no luck PM me. HTH |
