A1GP to get media promotion!
Some people have been asking on here why A1GP does not issue more communication, hopefully here is the answer. A media agency has finally been appointed. The article states that none was used previously, I would have thought this was a key thing to have in place last season.
Hopefully this will lift the profile of the series and avoid future gaffes like having a street parade with no supporting merchandising/promotional handouts! Very odd that this was awarded without a pitch - I would love to know the background. source: http://www.brandrepublic.com/bulleti...nd-prix-brief/ |

Working for an Agency that got close to the A1GP gig, I can tell you they've got a very sharp cookie in Kenton Elliott who's joined from managing the likes of Nike's marketing. He knows what he's doing and if he and an Agency are given enough creative freedom hopefully the promotion of the series will go from strength to strength, as the series was too hit and miss commercially last year...

That's good to hear. Promotion was hit and miss last year as well, good that it should be a lot stronger in the months ahead. There is certainly a lot of potential, the street race in Beijing for example could be enormous commercially.
