Alistair Naismith
As many of may know, Alistair and I share the "Scottish Racing Blue " Mallock at many British rounds. Unfortunately Alistair was taked seriously ill a few weeks ago and underwent surgery on Monday of this week. Thankfully, the surgery seems to have been a success and in fact he is already back home but will be out of Hillclimbing for at least a year. Many thanks from Al for the get well card which I passed on from Doune last weekend.......he always had a great excuse book at events but this will take some beating !!

Thanks for all the kind words guys. All a bit of a shock, but I've had a whopping great tumour removed (mostly) from my noggin and am now having daily radiotherapy to deal with the remainder.
I'm mostly at work, still enjoying the beer, and have Emmerson nagging me about repairing the damage he inflicted on the Mallock at Shelsley (pillock). Not too sure yet, but we plan to be around next year one way or another. Thanks again for all the support, I'll try to keep everyone posted. Cheers, Alistair |

Welcome aboard!
Alistair, so glad to hear that you are on the road to recovery. I saw the Emmerson Shelsley effort! Least said the better I think!
You take it easy and let Goergie boy get the thing fixed! All the very best, Steve |

Ah !! you were the chap we attended with the rescue unit who after being assisted from the car stood a yard away and was going to light up a fag.
I thought it was quite polite how i asked you to remove yourself from the scene if you were going to spark up. |

Location of the 'slight bump' please and I will. out of interest and the need for some exercise, go and have a look today or tomorrow. That is if one isn't trampled to death by the thousands of pheasants or shot by the chaps indulging in the sport - although when we have been in the Paddock at the end of a days shooting they never seem to have bagged many.

Yep, thats me. I decided a fag was the best option given the *******ing I was going to get when I returned back down the hill from Mr Naismith. Hope I didnt offend anyone........if its good enough for Jnr to do after a bump then same rule applies to all us other Scots !! Cheers |

I once had jnr upside down at top ess with me covered in fuel trying to light a fag. You can imagine my response. As a smoker myself i certainly understand but i'd rather it was away from the scene. |

Hmm,
Years ago, a wise old buzzard, who survived many year on the bank, gave me one of the best short descriptions of what marshalling actually is. "When it goes wrong, your job is to do the drivers thinking for him, and keep thinking for him until he remembers how much it's going to cost". Handy one to remember that |
