1999 "X" wings designed by Mike Gascoyne
I just came across a reference to an "x" wing developed in 1999 by Mike Gascoyne at Jordan. Does anyone know how these wings were layed out or the general concept behind them?

the X wing car was one of the last Tryells made, 1997 I think they came out, They went inline roughly with the airbox inlet. A good little interpretation of the rules, wit a bit more downforce for the slower tracks.
Hope that helps a bit |

They were indeed on the Tyrell and were banned on the grounds that they were dangerous in the event of an accident. Most observers feel they were banned because they were ugly. As they were.
