I still think it's BS for Nykjaer to be pulled out when he was. the guy was having an incredible season.

Wouldn't have had Taquini last year without Dudukalo & Lukoil. The world champion wouldn't have been on the grid this year without Chilton & Aon. Menu couldn't find funds for this season.
Arguably it's easier for the real top guys to find sponsorship and they all struggled. What chance does Nykjaer have? That sort of sponsorship simply doesn't seem to exist in the WTCC. |

Unless you've been on another planet for the past ten years, that's not how modern motorsport works. There are no wealthy businessmen willing to put substantial amounts of money into anything that isn't football or F1.

So the WTCC has managed a bigger grid than the BTCC this season, and without fans talking themselves into a silly stupor about it. Good show.

I like the WTCC and always have. I'm not blinkered by this patriotic "BTCC is best" nonsense that some people are. |
