I’m travelling across on way to Portugal next week, Gordon, but unfortunately the route is from NE corner to Salamanca. So will I still have sun?
I was tearing my hair out yesterday (dangerous at my age, as it won’t grow back ) because couldn’t get internet email etc, and had lots of error messages on phone, tablet and MiFi devices. Then I read this last night, which explains all...... So not just users in the UK affected, then! https://www.itv.com/news/2019-10-17/...ccess-network/ |

Yes I was off line too. And yes re-booting in the evening fixed it

You were right again, Bob, a new avatar showed up! May be you can't see it changes are made at 4 o'clock in the morning. Mike, should I be worried about your health as you told me few months ago…

Another belated Happy Birthday wish, Mike, from one much younger (well, 11 months younger )
Making a mental note that I must renew my driving licence next year......then making a physical reminder 'cos I'll probably forget the mental one...... On another note, I commented elsewhere that I'd timed a visit to Portugal badly as I was to be there this week, in between the classic race meetings.......but as it happens it didn't matter as milady was taken ill with dizziness/vertigo, and instead of driving to the airport on Wednesday morning at 8am I was repeatedly dialling the doctor's surgery to get into the queue to book her an appointment..... four engaged tones, then 12th in the queue......but eventually got through and got a slot at 9.10, so big rush to get milady wobbling out to the car. Tablets now starting to take effect, but although ticked off about missing holiday, glad it didn't happen a couple of days later - would have been more of a faff if she'd been taken ill over there. Now negotiating with travel insurance to see what we can get back........ although to their credit, when I advised the airport car park people (APH) that I wouldn't be attending - although I knew cancellations within 24 hours wouldn't generate any refund - they immediately replied that as I'd used them quite a lot, they'd roll over my payment as credit against a future booking |

I've just found a great game on Twitter. The last two digits of your phone number are your Lotus type.

Well I'm a Lotus 61 which is apparently a wedge shaped Formula Ford.
(I'm also going to keep a watchful eye on Max's posts from now on just in case he starts a series of 'Which model of Lotus would the two digits fourth/sixth/eighth/etc from last of your mobile 'phone number be as before long he'll know the whole thing!) |

When driving a Capri in France, there's only a very negative point. One of our stupid singers, God knows we had a few, was famous for his "Capri, c'est fini" song. I hate this one! You can't imagine how many spectators are proud to show you they know it during a meeting!!!
