The Glades

The Glades Circuit was originally designed within the associated parklands of a grand Country house, known as The Glades. The House itself fell into disrepair as did the circuit.

The circuit has now been given a new lease of life (which is more than can be said for the ruins of the country house), to become a top class motorsports venue, offering a 1.9 mile (3km) Club and 3.5 mile (5.5km) Long circuit layout. It's hoped the long circuit can attract FIA GT, WTCC, A1GP, type events as well has hosting "International rounds" of continental European based series such as DTM.

Given the original parkland nature of the venue, there is no dramatic elevation changes however most of the GP loop is lower than the club circuit, with the drop occurring on the approach to the hairpin, and the rise on the straight up to the point where the two circuits rejoin.
