An ALMS Christmas Tale

Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the house Nothing could be heard, but the roar of a MOUSE!
The recordings are played, by the fans with care With hopes that the season opener, will soon be there!
The fans were settled, all snug in their seats Where memories of checkered flags, still linger mighty sweet.
When out of the tube, there rose such a clatter The fans were amazed, to see such a matter!
What sight met their eyes, as amazed they watched Twas another rule change, that someone has botched!
With eyes like eagles, the principles they came And turned on their headsets, and called them by name!
Now Dayton! now, Dyson! now, Dumas and Beila On Field, on Fellows, on Dindo and Enge!
To the top of the box, to the top of the wall Now green fleg, gren flag, race away all!
More rapid than lightning, the gentlemen they flew With a flick of the throttle, and around another GT-2!
And then in a twinkle, there came to the front The bright yellow color, of a car with much grunt!
Then James Weaver, flew by in a flash While Cosmo had a breakdown, and Liz a crash!
Then all at once, with a rush and a roar There came a new car, they had not seen before!
From front splitter to wing, it was painted all red North Pole Toy Co. , was the sponsor they read!
With a little old driver, so lively and quick They all said at once, " That car is pretty trick"!
The next pit stop, went kind of slow For the old fellow stopped, at each stall on pit row!
In no time at all, he left gas, tires and oil With his face a smile, he left the pits tires a boil!
He asked no endorsement, demanded no fee's He left only coal, for the silver Audi's!
As he crossed over the finish line, right at the flag There was no let up, nor hint of turbo lag!
As he sped out of sight, one last cry did they hear. Merry Christmas to All, good luck next year!
