To my eyes a single Audi is a pleasing prospect, and one which has the capacity to satisfy a lot of parties.
It gets them the experience of racing at Sebring with the 2013 R18 - which is invaluable, and wins a huge amount of goodwill for showing up (cue lots of comments about it being the last great race etc), and also, as a single car, gives them the built in expectation management of being able to say it's a start of season toe in the water exercise - so if the unexpected happens it's not necessarily a surprise if Audi don't win.
It also might really encourage some other P1s out of the woodwork - as Rebellion showed this year, beating one works diesel is achievable, it's when there's multiples of them that things get difficult. If you're Rebellion, or JRM, or potentially Oak, assuming they get to grips with the HPD package over the winter, seeing there just being one big hitter to beat makes the prospect of a trip to Florida quite a lot more interesting.
