About ancient gr.5/DRM BMWs

Just wondering the power output of '78 Schnizer Turbo. Some sources say that they took 400 hp from that 1.4 Turbo but o.t.o.h. some sources say the poweroutput was even 600 hp.
Previous year's 320i had 1991cc atmo engine which has been said to produce 310hp which sounds quite realistic in my ears. Anybody out there having some facts ?
