I like half of BMW's lineup. Alzen, Adorf and Werner have all proven to be seriously quick at the Ring - though Uwe could use a little more calm sometimes. The touring-car boys are a little more of an issue in my opinion, particularly Farfus. The Mullers are both very solid and rapid sportscar hands.
Surely this will be the only year for the M3 GT2? The new Z4 GT3 will doubtless be ready for next year. It will be interesting to see who turns up with competitive Audis (what's the story for Black Falcon?) and whether Alpina's improving B6S and the Ford make a reappearance. We can be sure that Manthey and Mamerow will come with competitive Porsches, though the latter will lose the multiple race-winning form of Dirk Werner. |

Schubert will already race the Z4 GT3 in this year's 24h, so that's not necessarily an argument against a multi-year M3 GTR campaign.
The Ford GT is for sale and will not be raced by Raeder this year, and as for your comments on Alzen: Same goes for Adorf - really quick, really spectacular, but really tough on the equipment... |

Will that be the new V8 powered Z4 racer which hasnt been shown yet? If so it will be good to see how the two different BMWs stack up against each other.

Not a really fair test, though. Schubert are a good team, but all things equal they can only lose against Schnitzer and their all-star lineup... |

Nope you aint the only one- I'm seeing RennTeam image too. Going by what the image says I think one might need to be a member of Rennteam to view the image that Spyderman has posted.

Dirk Adorf being his usual self binned an M3 in testing today: http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4049/...b61d750837.jpg
Disclaimer: Adorf is certainly fast, but with him it always seems like a case of win it or bin it, even in practise. Anyway, I am really looking forward to next weekend! Farnbacher will be there with a GT2 Ferrari for Dominik F. and Leh Keen. |

Oh, and from what I gathered from various photo galleries, there were at least 7 (more likely 8) Audi R8s testing at the Ring today. 2 Phoenix,2 Black Falcon, at least 1 Abt and two I could not identify, perhaps Joests arrive and drive programme?

Looks like I spoke too soon: appearantly it was Jörg Müller, who binned the M3.

Does anyone know what sort of live timing, news updates, web-cams etc... are normally around for VLN in real time?
I assume it doesn't get live TV & even if it did, Justin wouldn't help out? |

There's a feed of the track announcers + a live ticker on the VLN website, but both is only available in German, and the announcers sometimes simply play (bad) pop music when they have nothing to announce.
The long lap makes livetiming sort of pointless, even for the 24 hours... |
