Wow! Strakka, in a P-2, wins overall at the Hungaroring. Story book stuff, that is. Hats off to them for a stellar performance.

Carlton "yes" Kirby was rambling something on Eurosport and saying there will be "extended" coverage @ Silverstone round, 'about 4 hours'. But hey, this is Eurosport, I refuse to believe until I see it!
The total darkness of Hungaroring was fabulous, by the way - I wish Le Mans would still look like that. |

The Strakka Car is the "C" Spec car, just like Highcroft's has been since Le Mans. Only difference is that at Hungaroring is that the short front diveplane and tuning vane on the front fenders were replaced with ARX-01b derived HD diveplanes like what Highcroft have run at SLC, Lime Rock and Mid Ohio.
Highcroft's car also differs in that it doesn't use the side exit exhausts, and have been re-routed out the engine cover like on the "b" because of chassis setup problems brought about due to tire pressure build up (which oddly never seemed to effect Strakka's Acura/HPD). |

And so far all team championships by class are still open (other than GT1) and for shure we will see some thrilling battles all around at Silverstone...
LM P1 points standings: Oreca - 49, Signature - 47, Audi/Jöst - 44, Rebellion - 43 LM P2: RML -65, Strakka - 52 GT2: Felbermayr Proton - 78, AF Corse - 63 LM P1 now is very close. In LM P2 after winning the race in Hungary Strakka is back and highly motivated trying to snatch the title. Felbermayr Proton indeed is leading by 15 points in GT2 but it's not done before finishing the race... |

Only LMP1 is really open.
RML has to finish at least 9th and Felbermayr Proton at least 11th in order to secure the title. |

So Oreca's shot in the foot opened the door to Audi winning the Teams title.
It's also close in the Manufacturers cup also: LMP1 1. Lola Rebellion - 84 2. Peugeot - 82 3. Lola Aston Martin - 75 GT2: 1. Porsche - 137 2. Ferrari - 131 Gonna be a humdinger! |

Unless Peugeot does something stupid, they will take the manufacturers cup.

Sorry, but the statistics are against Lola Rebellion: in Spa and Hungaroring only 1 of the 2 cars finished, while Peugeot only had one DNF this year in LMS.

Yes, I have been wondering if that is strictly an LMS entry or if it is an ILMC entry? No info, on the team yet, that I have seen.

What takes me by surprise is that Peugeot is only setting one works car on the grid at Silverstone... but again two at PLM.

Seems the 'ladder' class on both sides of the pond are working! Upward movement from both FLM/LMPC and GT-2/(C) are about for next year.

I'm assuming that Reiter is converting the GT3 Gallardo to GT2 spec-what happened to the GT2 Gallardo that they raced at Spa last year? Hasnt been seen or heard of since.

Silverstone entry looking nice, but I think its safe to say we can scratch the Atlas Saleen from the list. Good to see BMW and Drayson on there too.
The CER entry is looking splendid, too http://www.classicenduranceracing.co...verstone_5.pdf |

I was interested to see nearly a half page advert in London's Metro paper presumably by Michelin featuring the Le Mans Series through a strip cartoon.
