Yip, then the diff locks, suitable wheels and tyres, gear it correctly and off you go. No trouble.
I notice these 'Landy/mogs' are getting popular. |

The Man's a Genius
3 year old Emily has been out playing in the snow today with the red plastic sledge that Mummy picked up recently, she's been laughing like a drain, but no wonder it's brilliant ... the only name i can find on it ...DELTA. Ian, I never knew you had a sideline, but we would both like to thank you for the best sledge we've ever had!
Happy Christmas everyone. James |

Shouldn't this thread be renamed (just flicked through most of it), to the "Old Escort Thread".

I reckon in a year or two they will be the only things on the grid in Historic racing in events where they are allowed. Its the problem with all these tighter regs and date limitations that allow less latitude for improvement and different models, always one model will rise to the top of the pond and nothing else is worth concidering.

Just for the record - there is racing of Historics post 66 AND non fia (eek).
Me er, TR4 tidy paint, MOT, refill extinguisher, new seat belt (not run since 2006) run it in, enjoy round Surrey this Spring / Summer + the odd race. TR6 - repack the exhaust back box (getting a bit loud now - I don't mind ) - thats it (ooh change the oil). Griff (winter) full exhaust at Tony Laws, Drive shafts / Prop, front Brakes from BG, post winter (the rest!) - aim to have on road to get bugs out by the autum. |

the can't be much more than a roof away Mike
Jellison, consider yourself a Shepherd, not a sheep! (takes cover, again!) Its the same accross the board, LC's, E types, or elans, or Chevrons etc . . . . whatevers best developed, most competitive and econmoical in a relative sense. THere's always someone who'll try something different though, and sometimes make it work, then there's a new rush . . . I have several winter projects, mostly in the air, none of them are escorts! |

Iain, are you looking for 4 branch or cast one? Apologies if am teaching grandmother to suck eggs but if using 4 branch you will probably have to get a longer clutch cable so it can be routed further away. These were originally Capri fit but think West Wales etc stock repro ones anyway. Many a good rally result spoiled in past by melted cable! |

Did you know you can now get a new 2nd Generation Camaro bodyshell as well as a 1st? In fact Classic Camaro will sell you a complete car in bits, (would that be classed as original by the pundits? )

The DB4 (sorry!) is Jeremy Cooke, the only person to blow 2 engines right in front of me- once in his RSR & then his little Cooper Monaco!
