Small interest for the WTCC, I think.
TouringCarTimes talks about Huff with Munnich and a C-Elysée, good choice for Huffy in this case. |

Also not accurate. If there's one thing that's true for touring cars, it's that there's more good drivers than paid drives around. I think most drivers would jump at the chance of getting paid instead of having to pay to race.
Maybe this is a cost-saving move from Honda. If they already have Michigami on a retainer it's one less salary for the company as a whole. |

But wouldn't it be worth having to pay a driver that can compete for the win? Why bother with a series otherwise if you don't want to do what is necessary to win? Just competing for the heck of it?
Manufactures got more money than privateer teams and also needs to be more successful since they have their brand at stake. |

It would be a boost to the grid numbers if Lada were run privately and keep the variety on the grid too

But maybe they are running for that reason, or maybe something else. The grid looks quite small at the moment and I would guess the series needs every car it can get. Maybe they are doing it to keep the series alive? |

How many Veste TC1 car exists? The 2015 build ones are damaged, so not able to racing any more. If they have only 3 Vesta's, I think it will be a 2 man team. They might want to keep Tarquini, and if there is the SMP Racing who we talk, the second driver must be a russian guy (Petrov?). |

Privateer cars mean pay drivers. So (I think) no Tarquini and no Catsburg.
And I think that Tarquini wants an official team. |

Works teams do turn up with that attitude - which is bizarre considering how much money they must have sunk into their campaigns. Mind you, they were correct - but this year surely they do all stand a chance... |

I still have a feeling that Ribeiro might want to put Guerrieri somewhere. As I understand WTCC and STC2000 calendars don't clash. Honda seems to be the ideal option. For everyone, for Honda, for WTCC (definitely better than Michigami) and for Guerrieri himself. |

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SMP_Racing I'm sure he wants, but also sure he has not too much options. Lada or retirement. I doubt he has sponsor background for a Citroen (I also doubt Tarquini spend his own money for that) and I don't know why Volvo choose him instead of Catsburg (who is the main contender for the 3rd Volvo drive imho). |

Guerreri has place only in a private car. A Cruze or might be a Citroen (or maybe in a Lada). |
