Malcolm S has given me the 2018 Scottish Classic Sports and Saloon race dates. All at Knockhill, but two in reverse (direction).....

April 8th

May 6th (reverse)

July 1st

August 5th (reverse)

September 15/16th (when the HSCC Super Tourers visit)

October 7th

According to the 750 Motor Club calendar they are racing on the National Circuit at Silverstone . Can it be used at the same time as the International Circuit ? The only 'historic' race is for Bernies V8s amongst five double - headers listed .

Also the Castle Combe Autumn Classic is listed on the Castle Combe Racing Club website on October 6th but isn't listed on the Castle Combe Circuit website . The Championship Finals day is listed on September 15th , a month earlier than usual . Possibly the Autumn Classic may yet move ( to accomodate GTSCC ? ) .

I didnt think the International and National layouts could be used at the same time, but haven’t checked....

You may be right about Combe. Possibly not set in stone....

The current National and International circuits can be used idependently of one another (and often are).

Coincidentally, the HSCC finals meeting at Silverstone is now a week later on the 20th/21st October, to avoid clashing with MSVR's meeting on the GP circuit.

Talking of Jags, still no news on what’s happening with the Jaguar Challenge next year? I know a race at LMC was rumoured, but not sure if a change in the overall Challenge format.....

The 500OA have changed their calendar now that an invite to Zandvoort has been made.
It does mean the loss of Croix en Ternois in April though. Sorry to John Elwin.

Mixed feelings as I very much enjoyed their previous visit - a great bunch of people as well as fantastic racing - but it does mean I can go to the Hockenheim Jim Clark meeting. Your news settles another quandary too as I had been debating skipping Goodwood & doing Zandvoort & Spa 6H instead; haven't been to either for quite a while.

Just a thought- the Ford Escort also celebrates a 50th anniversary in 2018. (Although production in the U.K. started at the end of 1967)

That would be nice- a special anniversary race for Ford Escorts somewhere......

We had a race at Brands Hatch to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Lotus Cortina in 2013, for which Carol Spagg managed to pull together a very respectable grid.

Easier with Louts Cortina as pre 66 and many racing to similar spec! (Note I didn’t say ‘same’ spec ) Escorts would vary considerably in performance so not so easy. Plus the fact that arguably 1967 was the birth year, maybe not going to happen.......
