Still doesn't shed too much light on the situation. This will be the first time in the GT3 era of the Bathurst 12 Hour that Maranello have been missing

Still a great looking entry list. Now if we can reduce the number of safety car periods at the race. You can make a case for the event to be just GT3 car perhaps?

So... I expect one (or two) of the Audi Customer Racing (MPC i guess) entries will be a full pro line-up like last year, supported by Audi (same what they did with Sainteloc and Magnus). |

It appears your prediction about MPC will come to fruition with Mies/Winkelhock/Haase in the first of 2 all pro cars with the other to be announced soon. Those will be the standout car for Audi. No weak link gentlemen drivers there. |

Why? Most of the safety cars over the last few years have been caused by GT3 cars, not the class cars.

Maranello Motorsport.
Racing with Ferrari is why many of us attend. It’s a massive loss for the race. Can’t help but think we’ve seen GT3 and the Bathurst 12 hour peak in 2017. The local championship has been **** poor for the last six months . Concerning times when such a successful outfit like Maranello can’t get a sponsorship deal together at the greatest circuit in the land. Disappointing for the fans and not a good look for the race . No Nissan either - bring your best Bentley or it’ll be a German whitewash . |

I wonder if this year lack of running (both AGT & B12HR) has to do with a change in investment/interest from Peter Edwards or a reduction in support from Ferrari. |

Whatever the reason - to have no Ferrari presence in the race (apparently the Trass car has been withdrawn too) is an utter disappointment for Ferrari fans .. |

Maybe the issue lies with the Ferrari GT3 not providing good bang for the $ |

The 1000 has less cars than ever these days yet its stronger than ever we are told GT3 has likely peaked worldwide looking at the current trend, not just at the 12hr |

No doubt the depth of this field is down on recent years which is disappointing and a challenge for the promoter. Not sure which evidence suggests the 488 doesn't provide bang for buck? |

BOP means i can race a 5 year old (plus) REX against a $750,000 Ferrari and the REX has just as much chance of winning you can spend less money on a new Audi and be better supported in Australia, but have the same chance of winning Thats bang for buck |

Not all cars have equal chances of winning because of BoP. That's the intent behind it, but it's not the result or a fact of life... at least not yet. -mike |
