Suggestions that Sky are changing their programming around a bit for this season, and that Ted Kravitz will only be doing 14 of 21 races. And no notebook at all.
Also that the Sky Pad is gone and that Sky are going to a AR (Augmented Reality) studios set up in the paddock. similar to the one used in their Football programming from stadiums where they use a tablet and stylus to highlight or arrow action shown on the two main screens in the set. .... Skys AR studio setup as shown on Youtube Story Source Given the Skypad has been shared in recent years with the Sky Germany and Sky Italy teams ... notice the only sky logo in recent years was within the screen content and not on the monitor stand. I wonder whether the the AR studio will be shared in a similar fashion. |

I see that the Australian GP is live on Sky One channel in the UK, presumably as a free taster for people without the Sky F1 subscription. Let us hope that the race is better than in Australia last year, otherwise it may actually put people off subscribing!

I'm pleased to see that Channel 4 are showing qualifying highlights from midday on Saturday, and the race from 2:30 on Sunday afternoon. These are sensible times and I should be able to watch both!
Although not Sky, BBC or Channel 4 I have to say I'm enjoying the new Netflicks series Drive to Survive about the 2018 season. OK, so some of the sounds are (to me) very OTT but I suppose they add to the drama and more importantly because of that, may drag some new interest into 'our' motorsport. I am really enjoying the behind the scene's & fly on te wall aspects of it (and again, some 'younger viewers' may also be excited by all of the swearing!). |

im never quite sure these days if this show is being heavily promoted to all Netflix subscribers or just me because my computer knows i like F1...the algorithm is a scary scary thing!
but either way i am looking forward to watching it and glad to hear you give it a positive review. |

Well how many people will watch it? I’m sure it’s good to have it on there. Seems an interesting doc by the sounds of it. Don’t get enough on TV

And no wonder the circuits don't want to renew their contracts when the average annual sanctioning fee is US$30.4 million!

Well that was nice of them. Guess that’s the price we pay. Shame the coverage is so limited this year

This is an interesting read:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/formula1/47542802 Gives a few more details about the Channel 4 coverage for the year - mainly about the restrictions placed on them by Sky. For example - not allowed to do a 'grid walk', not allowed to do their own media pen interviews, highlights show can be a maximum of 50% track action. FFS |

Why are Sky doing this? This ain't exactly going to make them more popular. Interesting though that the Sky F1 advert had The Chain playing. Is that going to be their theme tune as well this season? It would be an improvement over the last one
Domenicalli as a pundit will be interesting |

As for no grid walk or pen interviews of their own, are these essential to a highlights programme? Sky have said that they won't have The Chain, it was used in the background of the advert as a historical reference as to many it is synonymous with televised F1. |
