With their history of alleged arrogance & alleged non-payment of driver salaries, appearance of an ego clash with Mr Salmon & Mr Smith torpedoing the original Team Sydney setup & seemingly claims from Mr Webb junior of lack of media contact, Mr Fogarty simply aligns with the feeling of many in the paddock re the Webbs.

Shocker.
Courtney and Boost out of Team Sydney. https://www.speedcafe.com/2020/02/29...s-team-sydney/ The Boost comments sound like they are hunting for a drive outside of Supercars. https://www.speedcafe.com/2020/02/29...f-team-sydney/ I felt like in the races Courtney was getting up to speed, but must be bigger issues in the background. Why doesn't Supercars sponsor Team Sydney? They so desperately wanted it to work, but they seem to have thrown away common sense in the vetting stage.
Go back to the original thread on this subject - the majority gave Team Sydney no chance and so should have Supercars. |

Very sad. And when you consider that during Saturday’s race in Adelaide, Courtney had the fastest lap for a fair chunk of the race, so he’s still got plenty of pace in him still..
Enduro seat at WAU? As for Team Sydney, will they see out the year? |

Mr Courtney appeared on RPM today, made a comment about commitment’s not being honoured by Team Sydney.
Also mentioned fielding phone calls from three Supercar teams. Interesting times ahead. |

I am late to the team Sydney thing but knowing the history do we assume Jono bounced a cheque?
I am a cynic, I know. |

You assume a cheque was actually written?

Why would anyone touch either Courtney or Boost - the money?
Gary Rogers would have a wry smile. |

Perhaps the lack of named drivers for MPC is a pointer to where James will end up?

Boost nothing here, but its owner seemingly has an inflated opinion of his self importance. Forced GRM to flick Garth Tander to make way for Ritchie Stanaway taking GRM from a mid to back of the pack runner, then trying to bully Supercars into introducing a control upright stating if he didn't get way he was out. Yet come round 1 he is back.

How curious! So who will drive the Team Sydney rocketships at the Australian Grand Prix? Shall we presume a pair of red Coca-Cola rockets with Webb at the wheel of one, and an unpaid driver such as Sieders, Randle, Seton (Aaron), Vernon, Walsh or Douglas at the wheel of the other? If nothing else, things are "moving ahead" and Team Sydney's sleds are beautifully presented with the finest in 11pm vinyl wraps, as always. It seems it will be trivial to revert the #19 to Coca-Cola livery as it seems like the Coke livery is still there underneath the silver wrap... Last edited by V8 Fireworks; 1 Mar 2020 at 20:13. |

Team Sydney are contractually obliged to provide two entries at each Supercars rounds, else pay a penalty $300,000 AUD per round. So having made the commitment it will be cheaper for Tekno Autosports to front up with the entries (which they can probably afford, they just prefer other people to pay for it...).

What a bunfight...
They once held the esteem of being the only other Holden team to take it to Triple Eight on a regular basis, employing names like van Gisbergen, and Hallam, a Bathurst win, top 5 finishes in the championship, and now to a team that can't distinguish it's backside from the ground. An utter disgrace. |
