Where to for Mr Caruso or Mr O'Keeffe?
And where did the Soutar and Clemente Hondas end up? They were each marked as 'sold' on my105.com, as was the Morcom i30 There are at least 2 Alfas without a home, 2 Renaults.. |

One of the GRM Alfas is in the Bathurst museum.
Ex BTCC racer Tom Oliphant is set to appear in an ASM Alfa this year. Said to have connections within Ch9. |

Now they've split from Supercars Media.

Budget obviously an issue, the $20m from Stan not enough...
AVE will do a job for the budget, but not the same as Supercars Media. Given the criticism of the package locked away on pay-TV I'm not sure this is the right move. |

Any chance ARG might give us an entry list, not long till round 1.
What’s happening with the Renaults? Caruso? Brown secured a budget yet? Announcement of the 8th round held with TCR World Tour? Given the dramas last year between Supercars & ARG, I’d say this love is more about distancing themselves from eachother than Stan $$ |

No word from Liqui Moly at this stage on continuing with Mr Brown.
Changes in upper management in the Australian subsidiary may have knocked it on the head. |

Still feels very much like SuperTouring when TOCA left the building..
How many race finishes do you get out of an Alfa Romeo in a 2 year deal? History might suggest.. not many |

ASM say that Caruso is out….. one assumes either his new home announcement is imminent or he’s just not doing anything.
If drivers like Brown, Caruso, Coulthard and Moffat can’t put deals together, what hope is there going forward? Tom Olyphant is a cool get, but ARG don’t seem to be hyping up the run into the season |

Is this the move to Stan really biting in terms of sponsor interest? |

I'd suspect that either all or some of those factors would be making it difficult just now. |

Article here.
"During the off-season, the car has been completely rebuilt, and with a fresh LIQUI MOLY livery, Brown is aiming to become the first driver to win two Supercheap Auto TCR Australia titles." After how often Jay crashed it last year I really hope they paid extra attention to detail during the rebuild. Glad to see this car has been taken off him. |

With a bit of a thinned out grid could it be Brown at a canter and daylight second?
Unfortunately it seems the really strong talent is still going Super2/Super3, and TCR hasn't managed to grab a niche where maybe 86s and even Transam cars have. |

Every man and his dog seems to think TransAm is a great stepping stone
Till the money shows up and the engineering and they get sick of not getting any teev coverage, and not being particularly competitive TCR seems to embrace the back end teams. And helps get them coverage, amd raise profiles… There might be something in that.. |

But guys are making the transition out of Transam to something else.
Nobody has won TCR and gone into something else. Still really a problem that Supercars grid fillers can towel up the best TCR has to offer. |

No word on Mr Wilmington and his ex-Jordan Cox Alfa.
The series of unfortunate boo-boos at SMP last year, may have been the final straw. |

Perhaps in time for rd2 given it’s months away? I assume he’s still in the old-spec Audi he ran at Bathurst?

Wilmington’s absence is budget related according to a post he made around Bathurst International time. He was back in a Sprintcar over summer too by the looks. |

13 cars.
There's a lot of cars sitting in sheds unused right now. |

Pessimist in me says the Stan deal was precisely the wrong time. ARG had spent an awful lot of money and I guess without Brian Boyd's money they didn't have enough to fund the "second" year after the COVID interruption.
Will people keep trying to put deals together? Those cars are pretty saleable internationally. |
