Prep 2 is the most ridiculous thing in American road racing currently. Cars that have no business being built (Grand Am V8? no such production car), cars that aren't competitive otherwise (Mazda RX8, Mustang GT, BMW M6) and a downright abomination in a tube-frame Prep 2 built Ferrari 430! Back in the GTU era, people built tube-frame Porsche 911's and they never looked right. Its GARRA stupid attempt at cost reduction, nonsense! Knowing 997 GT3's would run off and hide from these purposely slowed down GT cars, they created this stupid formula. This is totally off topic but has to be said! |

And just behind them, the new F430 stuggling to keep up.
Rumours suggest Porsche have switched to Hankook, simply to take the mick out of the Ferrari... The winning Porsche (and let's not pretend, gentlemen, it will be a Porsche) will be the one left running after Jaime Melo and Mika Salo (Ferrari's expert crash display team) have tried to take out all the rest. |

I don't want to turn this thread into anything serious, but I am very impressed (and extremely relieved) with the qualifying perfomance of the 997RSR.
